ShareEdu's school bus tracking services offer excellent solutions for organizing school bus management and prioritizing student boarding and alighting. It also provides parents with a premium service to track their children's buses until they reach home. These advanced capabilities are provided by ShareEdu without the need for external devices or hardware, relying instead on the advanced capabilities of the company's mobile application, fully integrated with other platform services and mobile apps.
To activate bus tracking, first configure the settings for the service operation, which includes (defining bus data) and (defining routes). Then begin registering students who use the transport service along their respective routes.
Now the service is ready to operate on the school supervisor's mobile app. The bus supervisor logs in to the school's mobile application.
Upon logging in, the bus supervisor sees the following:
Notice at the top of the screen the tracking button appears gray at the start of the bus trip, whether going to or returning from school. The bus supervisor presses the tracking button
which then turns green
The app sends tracking coordinates for the supervisor’s route, allowing school management to monitor the bus, and parents to track their children’s buses during the trip. This service is available only to bus supervisors and not visible to other roles in the mobile app.
Service in the Parent’s Mobile App
Parents can track their children's buses during the trip to and from school via the school's mobile app by logging into their account as shown below:
After logging in, the parent's services appear, with the bus tracking service at the top as shown below:
